✒️ Loreen about the single Neon Lights (Press release):

– I like the feeling of creating characters in my songs that both reflect parts of me that exist and parts that I wish were there. In my upcoming music, I focus on a kind of alpha female, a contemporary Jeanne D’Arc, who will try to save the world. I examine different parts of her in different songs and the lyrics to Neon Lights are about how she watches over and takes care of a person who needs it.

Neon Lights is the first taste of Loreen‘s new musical direction. It's a bombastic electro-pop with sweeping synth loops.

– I’m sickly nerdy when it comes to synths, especially analog synths. So much so that nowadays I build all my live shows just on them. I felt that I wanted to bring that sound into the studio and simply act like I was in a Terminator movie. That’s how Neon Lights came to be. It is a first introduction to the new soundscape that I am creating.

The new music, which will be released continuously during the year, has a harder electronic sound, inspired by how Loreen has built up her live shows in recent years. (» Read more)

Allsang på Grensen & Quick news

▪️ On 29th of June Loreen will perform at the musical show Allsang på Grensen in Norway. Previously she already performed there in 2015 with songs Euphoria and Paper Light. The tickets are on sale and the show will be later broadcasted on TV 2. In Norway, on 25th of June she will also sing at Skeiv Natt (Oslo Pride). More details about events and more upcoming shows you can find in Tour dates.

▪️ In collaboration with Spotify and Eurovision was created a playlist called "Loreen Presents: The Sound Of Sweden" where Loreen selected the best of Swedish music at the moment. Click here to listen to her favourite songs from Swedish artists.

▪️ Loreen was also a special guest at the official Eurovision podcast this week. "In this special episode of the podcast, the singer chats to host Steve Holden to discuss her memories of that winning night in Baku when she came first for Sweden. She talks about the iconic performance, the legacy of the song and the doors it opened for her." She also confirmed there that the new single Neon Lights is coming out very soon.
