Loreen: Almost. The area was very quiet compared to the city center, with nature all around and so. But yes, the houses looked the same, although some had renovated theirs.
Wolfgang: Sweden, or Västerås, is not directly multicultural. What was it like to grow up here? You must have been the only one with a Moroccan background in school?
Loreen: Yes, and I didn’t think about until someone confronted me. They thought I was different because I was reserved when I was little, or because I had a different skin colour. But those kinds of reactions are based on the fear of the unknown. (...)
